The heart and passion of a start-up
In celebration of our 40th year, we've launched the new SAP Start-Up Focus Program to help inspire and energize start-ups. Our experience working with partners and customers around the world has given us something that few others can claim: invaluable insight into start-up needs and the expertise – and passion – to help solve their problems and help them run better.
The SAP Start-Up Focus Program:
- Helps start-ups adopt and develop new applications on SAP HANA, a powerful in-memory computing platform – and the first dramatically new database architecture in 15 years.
- Includes day-long events for collaboration and learning focused on SAP HANA, SAP Mobile platform, SAP Cloud, and database trends and technologies.
- Provides start-ups with the opportunity to showcase their products in a tradeshow setting, and present to a select group of attendees from local media, SAP, and SAP Ventures.

Start-Ups Gather for Full Day of Collaboration
The first SAP Start-Up Forum was held March 7, 2012, in Palo Alto, California, where select start-ups gathered for a full day of collaboration, learning, and competition around big data trends and technologies.
Funding for Start-Ups using HANA
In April 2012, SAP Ventures launched the Real-Time 100 Million Euro Fund. The new fund provides capital specifically for start-ups that are using SAP HANA as their application database to address big-data challenges.
